Application Types

Foreign travelers can apply for two types of tourist visas online:

  1. Entry Visa
    • For first-time applicants who do not already possess a valid Pakistani visa.
  2. Extension Visa
    • For those who hold a valid Pakistani visa and are currently residing in the country.

Eligibility Criteria

Entry Visa:

  • Citizens of eligible countries can apply for a single-entry visa for up to three months.
  • Citizens of GCC countries do not require a visa to enter Pakistan.
  • Some nationalities are eligible to apply for a Visa Prior to Arrival (Tourist).

Visa Extension:

  • Extensions can be granted as:
    • Multiple-entry visas for up to six months.
    • Multiple-entry visas for durations exceeding six months.
  • The applicant must already hold a valid Pakistani visa and be residing in Pakistan.

Required Documents

Applicants need to submit the following documents:

  1. A recent photograph.
  2. A valid passport.
  3. Hotel booking details for their stay in Pakistan.

Duration and Validity

Entry Visa:

  • Issued as a single-entry visa valid for up to three months.

Extension Visa:

  • Can be extended to:
    • Multiple entries for up to six months.
    • Multiple entries for durations exceeding six months.

Processing Time

Visa processing durations vary based on the application type and applicant’s nationality:

  • Entry Visa (Up to 3 months): 7-10 working days.
  • Extension (Up to 6 months): 7-10 working days.
  • Extension (More than 6 months): Up to 4 weeks.
  • Special cases (e.g., Afghanistan and Somalia passport holders): Up to 4 weeks.

Applicants should note that any application sent back for review will reset the processing timeline upon resubmission. If an application is not resubmitted within seven days, it will be canceled.
